Podcasters get ready, set, GO!
There is now a podcast page for St. Sylvester School. The link is to the right in the sidebar. We will be using the Podmatic online service to host and share our podcast, but you will be able to subscribe in iTunes.
The pictures below are of students using the podcast studios we created in the lab to improve the quality of our recording.

The St. Sylvester Computer Lab Goes Green
St. Sylvester students are going green using the internet this month! In honor of Earth Day, which is celebrated on April 22, 2010, all of the students are exploring websites about taking care of our planet by making better choices.
1st and 2nd (pictured above) and 3rd Grade are using the special Tree House section of the Arthur website on PBSKids.org to take the “Go Green Challenge”. Students printed charts they decorated online that will help them keep track of their “Green” choices.
4th, 5th , and 6th Grade will use the Energy Star Kids! website to learn how to conserve energy.
7th and 8th grade will be exploring the EEK! Environmental Education for Kids website to explore natural resources and learn more about the great outdoors.

Black History Projects Using iMovie

6th Grade Using iMovie 09
6th Grade worked on iMovie 09 for the first time today.
They will have more time tomorrow to perfect their projects, but everyone did a great job today:)
